1936

An oak 3 sliding doors and shelf with glass floor bookcase.

This period was interesting in Jean Royère life due to it’s a short period where he turned his design searches toward modernism which was active in France with french modernist movement : UAM ! Members like Chareau, Mallet-Stevens, Prouvé, Orloff or Léger who were members of UAM were active architects, artists as well as designers..
Royère changed his mind and created a more minimal design with new material as metal and glass that he included in the wood ! It’s a very short period which took end with pieces for the Paris World Fair Pavillons in 1937 where he designed a few pieces !! There was a very short edition at that time because Royère worked particularly on private commissions for important clients.
