For this eighth edition of TEFAF NEW YORK, taking place from May 11th to 16th, 2023 at the Parc Avenue Armory, Laffanour / Galerie Downtown Paris will unveil a selection of exceptional pieces by Jean Prouvé, Charlotte Perriand, Le Corbusier, Richard Texier and Vassilakis Takis.
The Downtown Gallery, a specialist in French post-war design, will present a group of emblematic pieces of furniture from this period, including this extremely rare sideboard in folded steel sheet and aluminum by Jean Prouvé dated 1952.

One can discover the iconic LC VII floor lamp in lacquered aluminum sheet by Le Corbusier designed for the Chandigarh City Assembly Palace in India or the Cité bed by Jean Prouvé designed for the Cité Universitaire in Nancy, as well as the one in Antony. It will also be an opportunity to discover the Nuage library and the Tokyo bench by Charlotte Perriand, both edited by Steph Simon in the 1950s. This year’s selection will be completed with some creations bringing an exquisite touch: the unique piece, three-arm Signal by the Franco-Greek sculptor, Vassilakis Takis, as well as some plant-formed and animal-formed bronzes by Richard Texier.
