“Defending for more than thirty years the work of two pioneers of the Decorative Arts of the 20th century, Jean Prouvé and Charlotte Perriand, it is with a particular emotion that I present this project of a house in Montmartre by Charlotte Perriand. Indeed, as a young art dealer in the early 1970s, I discovered the Borot house with amazement in the magazine « Aujourd’hui, Art et Architecture ». Carried away by enthusiasm, a few years later, I sent them a letter, which remained a dead letter, signifying my desire to acquire this furniture that I considered exceptional. Much later, twenty-give years later, the descendants of the Borot came across this passionate letter which allowed me to establish contact the family and to realize this project of a unique reconstitution, since I could finally acquire all the furniture and objects making up this legendary house for me. With the help of Jean-Pierre Troche and Pernette Perriand, whom I would like to thank warmly, I was able to find the biographical references and the various photographic documents.”
